Pioneering Protection:

The Future of Vaccine Development

A panel discussion

Over recent years we have all witnessed firsthand the transformational clinical benefit of preventative immunisation programmes. We have seen how cutting-edge vaccine technology can positively impact populations, healthcare systems and the wider society.

Today, there are nearly 260 vaccines in development for the treatment and prevention of diseases, offering hope for the future. The vaccine pipeline is using new technologies to tackle a multitude of diseases and infections including cancers, HIV, and even allergies. Development is also underway to improve existing vaccines such as flu, pneumonia, and meningitis.

While the future of vaccines is bright, here in Ireland we need to ensure the systems are in place to access these vaccines when they are available. Join our panel of experts to hear about what to expect with vaccine developments over the coming years and what needs to be done to allow effective immunisation programmes, for both our paediatric and adult populations, to be rolled out in Ireland.
