Accelerating Genetic
and Genomic Medicines

A panel discussion

Advances in genomic medicines is transforming how diseases are diagnosed and treated, moving away from a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to one that is more personalised and predictive, improving patient outcomes. In December 2022, the National Strategy for Accelerating Genetic and Genomic Medicine in Ireland was published, the purpose of which was to allow the HSE to develop a genomics service that “improves health outcomes, drives down the cost of care, and fuels scientific innovation and discovery.”

A year on from the publication, hear from our panel of experts on what progress has been made since and what they believe would enable an effective genetics and genomics strategy in Ireland.

Presented by John Greally, Founding Director, Einstein Center for Epigenomics.
